I’m Colin Brown, and I have been Cardinal’s principal since 2010. I am a Virginia Tech graduate and that is where I gained my language arts teaching certification. I have a master’s degree from George Mason University and an Ed. S. in educational leadership from the University of Virginia. I was previously an assistant principal at Tuckahoe Elementary and Washington-Lee High Schools. I enjoy riding my bicycle, being by the water, and working outside when I’m not at Cardinal. I also love spending time at the beach with my two sons, Kaelan and Aidan. -APS Principal of the Year 2016

I’m Barbara Jones, and I have worked both nationally and internationally in grades Pk-9. My career has taken me many places as a proud Navy wife. I have a Masters in Integrated Math/Science and another in Educational Leadership. While in Arlington, I worked at Williamsburg Middle School and Arlington Science Focus School before Cardinal. I am originally from a farm in Iowa and I enjoy time outside (both the mountains and the beach). My hobbies also include quilting, making sugar cookies, playing with my dogs, and visiting my adult children.
