Hello! My name is Emily Spellman and I am a fourth-grade teacher at McKinley Elementary. I am from Newport News in southeastern Virginia and completed my Bachelor’s at the College of William and Mary. I had the exciting opportunity to do my Master’s at the International Institute of Social Studies in The Hague, Netherlands and then worked as an education researcher for K-12 school districts. I am coming from Hoffman Boston Elementary where I also taught fourth grade. I love to read, spend time outside, and make wheel-thrown pottery.
