My name is MaryKate Girardi and I am a Reading Specialist. I have been teaching since 2008 when I started my career as a 4th grade Special Education teacher in Fairfax County.  After 5 years in the classroom, I moved into a Reading and Math Resource position. In 2015, I came to work at McKinley Elementary School as a Reading Specialist.  I earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Education and received my Master of Education in Special Education, Elementary Education and Reading from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.
