Gina Rocco

Ms. Gina Rocco will be working with second, fourth, and fifth-grade students for the 2022-23 school year. A proud graduate of Marymount University, she earned a Master’s Degree in Psychological Services and worked with foster children and teens before starting work as an elementary school counselor.  She joined the Cardinal team 10 years ago and has worked in APS for 22. She is passionate about teaching empathy, compassion, and child protection skills. She also looks forward to integrating theater and songwriting into her counseling curriculum.  Ms. Rocco grew up in the Westover neighborhood and is excited to be working at her former elementary school site, Walter Reed.   Ms. Rocco enjoys walking her dogs, gardening, and cheering for the Caps.
