Jill Miller

I am the School Library Media Specialist for Cardinal Elementary. This is my 6th year as a Library Media Specialist. Prior to working in a school library, I taught secondary Social Studies for 13 years. While working as a teacher my passion for information, research and technology grew, driving me to obtain a School Media Specialist Certification. I strive to invoke passion into our young readers, and bring 21st-century skills and technology into the Media Center.

My name is Celia (CeeCee) Broderick, and I have been working at McKinley Elementary since 2006. I work in the Library and assist in classrooms. I have lived in Northern Virginia my entire life and attended Arlington Public Schools. I have four children (and four grandchildren) and my two younger kids are former McKinley students. I have an M.Ed. (2006) from Marymount U, and a B.S./Business (1989) from George Mason U. I love living in Arlington and especially enjoy our libraries and parks. In my free time, I enjoy reading, scrapbooking and gardening.

Kathleen Michael

Instructional Assistant

kathleen.michael@apsva.us

Hi—I am Kathleen Michael, and I began working at McKinley--now Cardinal--as a part-time library assistant in 2017. Before coming to McKinley, I was a full-time library assistant at Drew Elementary for the previous ten years—and prior to that worked there part-time and also as a substitute for APS. I’ve raised two children who also attended APS, and before that happened, I graduated from the University of California at Irvine with my M.F.A. in English. I enjoy all kinds of creative writing—and I have a dream of maybe one day writing a children’s book or two of my own!
