Most Cardinal Elementary School students live in the Swanson Middle School zone for grade 6.

• Application window for option schools such as HB Woodlawn: Nov 10, 2025-Jan 16, 2026
• Course selection occurs February-March 2026 through Canvas
• Student field trips to middle schools April 2026
• Opportunities for personal tours and orientation at middle schools, summer 2026
